A yacht arriving from a foreign port or departing Turkey for a foreign port should use a designated frontier port. Confirm that the chosen port can handle the yacht, crew, route and planned time before relying on it for formalities.
Transit Log and vessel declarations
Foreign-yacht formalities are recorded through the Yacht Registration Form, commonly called the Transit Log. It brings together vessel, customs, passport, health, port, crew and passenger information for the stay in Turkey.
Passport and visa formalities
Turkey is outside the Schengen Area. Passport entry or exit requirements apply when crossing the Turkish border, and visa or visa-exemption conditions depend on each person's nationality and travel document.
Customs and temporary use
Customs treatment depends on the yacht's flag, ownership, use and the owner's or user's residence. Foreign private, charter and commercial yachts should provide their full status so the local agent can confirm the applicable process.
